Environmental Benefits of LPG

  • LPG engines produce up to 82% less Nitrogen Oxide pollutants than petrol and 99% better than diesel
  • 63% less Carbon Monoxide.
  • 40% less Hydrocarbons than petrol and 70% less than diesel
  • 98% less particulates than diesel 50% less than petrol
  • Produces 33% less CO2 emissions than petrol and 45% less CO2 than diesel

Benefits of LPG over other fuels

Cost of LPG generally is more stable than Petrol - less upward movement. The case for LPG over other fuels is compelling.

  • No spilling when filling your generator - Petrol usually spills can stain or  contaminate the ground or water.
  • Less risk, little possibility of theft or pilfering, cleaner for people and the environment.
  • No smoke, no fumes, gas more likely to be available during adverse events, easier and safe to transport in many cases can delivered right to you.
  • Less storage and contamination issues, less risk, less maintenance.
  • Less maintenance with gas engines saving you money.
  • Life of the engine is increased because of the absence of acids and carbon deposits.
  • LPG contains no lead and is therefore cleaner.

GAS GENERATORS - LPG and Natural Gas

Lower Risk

Generator fueled by LPG or Natural gas are cleaner low in emissions, no smoke, no fumes, No Spillages or unsightly stains, that are common when filling petrol tanks. If you do not have Natural gas supply, gas cylinders such as LPG (your B'BQ bottle) cylinders are safe, easy transportable and refillable or exchange.

Petrol or Diesel can "waste" and there are storage and transportation issues, potential of container leaks and high cost of petrol to consider.  Gas is more stable generally cheaper longer lasting, is easier to store and to transport. In many cases can be delivered right to you.

Lower your emissions, lowering you carbon footprint

Propane generators have many advantages over Petrol fuelled ones that it is hard to select petrol generators over them. One of the main advantages is that the fuel is cleaner and when used in generators, will not produce as much toxic fumes that are harmful to the environment and to people.

Gas generators are more secure as well, petrol generators need to be refueled, usually by consumers, there are hazards involved in refueling and petrol can "waste"  then there are storage and containment issue. Gas, is stored in safe cylinders that can be taken to a fuelling centre, garage, hardware or camping store or exchanged for a full one. This makes it safe, less risk, convenient & easy.

Petrol or Diesel can and usually does spill and can contaminate the surrounding area, leaving stains and odors. Propane if leaked is released as gas and will dissipate in the air. Houses with above or underground tanks can connect directly to generators to automatically use the fuel source during blackouts.

As with all generators use in a well ventilated area
